Ann Arbor, MI (June 28, 2005) - - Pall Corporation's Minimate? tangential flow filtration (TFF) system efficiently concentrates samples from up to one liter to as little as 5 mL, enabling high concentration factors. Subsequent desalting or buffer exchange steps can be run on the same system with minimal user intervention. The system works with Pall's Minimate TFF capsule, a disposable device designed to accelerate and simplify scale-up applications.
The compact Minimate TFF system includes all the hardware, tubing and fittings needed to get your TFF process up and running quickly. Simply plug in a Minimate TFF capsule, add sample, and turn on the pump to start processing. The system is designed for simple cleanup and maintenance.
A roller head peristaltic pump allows gentle processing for critical applications such as fragile biomolecules. The built-in pressure gauge enables monitoring of feed pressure to ensure reproducible process parameters for consistent runs. All wetted components are made from low protein binding, chemically resistant, USP Class VI materials. The reservoir is designed to hold up to 500 mL of sample and provides efficient mixing of product. A tapered bottom and optimally located feed and return ports reduce the system hold-up volume, which allows high concentration factors to be achieved.
